Acre Shore uses .nar files to drive its narrative engine.

.nar files are simple text files using a custom syntax. Mytholite’s Narrative Markup Language is simple yet powerful and is the heart of Acre Shore. The Narrative Markup Language is not only used for writing custom stories, but to drive the official story of Acre Shore too.

.nar files can be created in any text editor that allows files to be saved with a custom extension, however it is recommended to use Mytholite’s NarEdit software.
